so, i've gone and done it again... mad rally style!
meet julliette, the latest edition to my family; the long dreamt of, long sought after, original condition, colorado orange, type 1 bmw 2002. (and my new
girlfriend).
as you can see here, i have already spent quite a bit of time polishing out
that old oxidized paint to achieve a surprisingly decent shine ... i'm
quite glad the recent seller didn't realize just how much potential this
car had.
i certainly couldn't have afforded it if she did...
for months i had been driving by this car.. oh my, it's so cute!
then, a few weeks ago, while i was driving in aimless circles, trying
to drown my melancholy with miles in the wee hours of the morning, i noticed
that the 'cute 02' had some signs in the window...
the next morning, the test drive and the haggling began.
aww yes.. round taillights, tiny bumper... definately a type 1.
i am soooo pleased.
(see mom.. told ya! bmw, by age 25! ;)
